In the winter, I rarely stop during the day to eat because you cool down so quickly you
either have to change into warmer layers, or risk hypothermia. I recommend the following
food items which can be easily warmed in a jacket pocket before consumption, or which
do not freeze altogether.
- Cheddar cheese blocks
- Summer sausage
- M+Ms
- Winter trail Mix: Chocolate chips, Peanut Butter chips, Granola
- French bread and pepperoni
